The rules of granting honorary patronage or participation of the Director of the Statistical Office in Szczecin in a honorary committee
I. General rules
The rules define the requirements and procedure regarding granting, by the Director of the Statistical Office in Szczecin (hereinafter referred to as the Director), honorary patronage or participation in an honorary committee (hereinafter referred to as patronage).
II. Detailed rules
- The Director grants patronage as an expression of special recognition for initiatives thematically related to the mission and tasks fulfilled by the official statistics, characterised by high substantive and organisational quality.
- Patronage may be granted exclusively to initiatives of regional (voivodship), national, or international scope.
- Patronage shall not be granted to commercial initiatives.
- Regarding cyclical events, a separate application must be submitted for each edition.
- Granting patronage does not imply financial or organisational support.
- Information on granted patronage is published in the “List of honorary patronages and honorary committee memberships granted by the Director of the Statistical Office in Szczecin” on the Office’s website.
- If patronage is granted, the organiser is obliged to:
- Inform co-organisers and participants about the distinction.
- Include information about the patronage on all promotional and informational materials.
III. Procedure for granting patronage
- An application for patronage must be submitted by the organiser no later than 60 days before the start of the event.
- The application form (annexed to these rules) is available on the website of the Statistical Office in Szczecin.
- The application must include the event programme and regulations; the Office may request additional information if necessary.

- The decision of the Director to grant or refuse patronage is communicated to the organiser in writing within 30 days of submission.
- Decisions refusing patronage are not subject to appeal.
- In justified cases, the Director may render the granted patronage or withdraw from participation in an honorary committee and communicate to the organiser in writing.
