What you need to know about PKD 2025 (Polish Classification of Activities)

We would like to inform you that on January 1, 2025, the new Polish Classification of Activities (PKD 2025) came into force, replacing the previous PKD 2007 classification. The new PKD classification has been adapted to current market, technological, and social realities. It includes new types of business activities that have emerged in the economy in recent years. The classification will ensure the harmonization of economic statistics within the European Union in fields such as the digital economy, circular economy, and bioeconomy.

Implementation Schedule for PKD 2025:

  • 01.01.2025 – Entry into force of PKD 2025 (new entries into REGON, CEIDG, and KRS must use PKD 2025; entities can also manually update their PKD codes in the registers).
  • 01.01.2025 – 30.12.2026 – Transition period.
  • 31.12.2026 – End of the transition period (automatic reclassification of entities that have not updated their codes manually).

Until 2029 – Phasing out of PKD 2007

More information about PKD 2025 can be found at: Public Information Bulletin (BIP) / Activities of official statistics / REGON register / PKD 2025 as well as at PKD 2025.
