Tasks
Małopolska Centre for Regional Surveys comprises three specialised sections:
1. Data Dissemination Section
This section is responsible for day-to-day customer and media support. It assists in locating relevant data, identifies its sources, and manages the library and archive of the Statistical Office in Kraków.
2. Regional Studies Section
It coordinates the Office’s publication programme and ensures the professional layout and high quality of publications. It prepares analytical reports describing the socio-economic situation in Małopolska and studies on the most significant developments in the region.
3. Communication, Education and Regional Research Section
It conducts regional research and social, economic and environmental analyses. In doing so, it collaborates with the academic community, the business sector, local authorities and non-governmental organisations. The section is also responsible for statistical education and the widespread promotion of knowledge about statistics.
