The Statistical Office in Szczecin is part of the official statistics services, subordinate to the President of the Statistics Poland (GUS), and operates on the basis of:

• the Act of 29 June 1995 on Official Statistics (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 773),
• Regulation No. 13 of the President of the Central Statistical Office of 24 August 2012 on granting the statute to the Statistical Office in Szczecin (Official Journal of the Central Statistical Office, item 41, as amended),

Since 1 January 1999, the Statistical Office in Szczecin has covered the area of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship.

It performs its tasks both at the head office in Szczecin and in three branch offices: in Koszalin, Stargard, and Świnoujście.

Statistical Information Centre and Statistical Library (reading room) are located at the office in Szczecin (room 727 – 8th ) and in the Branch Offices in Koszalin, Stargard, and Świnoujście.    więcej >>

Tasks:

• dissemination of data and other information by phone, mail or directly in the office:
  • statistical data released by Statistics Poland and the Statistical Office,
  • announcements of Statistics Poland and the Statistical Office;
• provision information on:
  • new editorial titles of Statistics Poland and the Statistical Office,
  • publications available in the Office's library,
  • publications for sale;
• accepting and processing requests for statistical data orders:
  • unpublished statistical data available in the Office’s database,
  • preparing data studies based on information published by Statistics Poland and Statistical Offices.

Matters and requests related to the National Official Register of the National Economy Entities (REGON) are handled at the Statistical Office in Szczecin (room no. 708) and in the Branch Offices: in Koszalin, Stargard, and Świnoujście.

Information on entities registered in the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship contained in the REGON register can be made available to all interested parties upon written request. Information on the rules of paid and free-of-charge data dissemination can be found on the Statistics Poland website: Zasady udostępniania danych z rejestru.

Orders should be submitted by mail, fax, or directly in the Secretariat of the Office.

The building of the Office and the buildings of its branch offices are adapted to serve persons with disabilities using wheelchairs.

Since April 2012, it has also been possible to use the assistance of a sign language interpreter.
