The main tasks of the Centre is to conduct activity in the field of designing and creating communication tools, as well as to carry out development and implementation works in the field of using modern technologies and methods of automating statistical production processes that are capable of supporting or replacing human work.

In particular, the tasks of the Centre include:

1. analysing current and future expectations of the users of statistical products;
2. conducting analyses regarding the implementation of new forms of communication using modern technologies;
3. identifying opportunities for applying machine data processing to automate statistical production processes;
4. conducting, in cooperation with official statistics units, development work on modern tools supporting the process of publishing and disseminating output information;
5. designing, creating, and implementing IT systems capable of supporting or replacing repetitive work;
6. administration, updating, and developing the implemented communication tools.
