Specialization of the Office
As of 1 January 2009, a new organization of work has been in force in official statistics, resulting from the introduction of the specialization of regional statistical offices. It consists in assigning specific surveys covering the entire country to individual offices. Consequently, the previous principle of offices collecting all types of reports solely from the area of their respective voivodship has ceased to apply.
Statistical data (reports) must currently be submitted electronically via the Reporting Portal.
Within the framework of its specialization, the Statistical Office in Szczecin performs the following tasks:
- develops methodological sstandards, conducts surveys, prepares statistical studies and analyses in the field of:
- science, technology, innovation, and information society statistics,
- maritime statistics,
- inland waterway transport statistics,
- transport and communications statistics,
- real estate market statistic;
- conducts design and programming work within the scope of the Office’s specialization,
- participates in international cooperation within the scope of the Office’s specialization,
- conducts work on the use of administrative data sources.
